Innovative Excellence is a family owned and operated fabrication business based out of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. We specialize in codebook fabrication, and have experience with various AWS, AISC, and customer supplied Project Specifications.
AWS
The American Welding Society (AWS) is a non-profit organization that aims to advance the science, technology, and application of welding allied joining and cutting processes. The AWS provides a wide range of resources and services to its members, including education and training programs, certification programs, and industry standards. One of the most resources provided by the AWS is its collection of codebooks, which are used by welders and other professionals to ensure that their work meets industry standards and regulations. Some of the most commonly used AWS codebooks include the AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code, the AWS D1.6 Structural Welding Code - Stainless Steel, and the AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code.
Innovative Excellence has experience working under many of the AWS codebooks. We are familiar with the qualification requirements, inspection requirements, and various documentation required to maintain compliance with the applicable code. We maintain a staff including AWS CWIs, CAWIs, qualified, and certified welders.
AISC
The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) is non-profit organization that serves as a technical trade association for the structural steel industry in the United. AISC's mission is to promote the use of structural steel through research, education, and advocacy. The organization provides a wide range of resources and services to its members, including design guides, technical assistance, and certification programs. AISC also works closely with government agencies, industry partners, and other organizations to advance the use of steel in construction and infrastructure projects.
We have worked under various AISC codebooks, and have assisted in AISC audits for clients who are AISC Certified Fabricators. We are seeking to gain AISC Certified Fabricator status in the near future. An AISC Certified Fabricator is a steel fabrication company that has been certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction to certain quality standards. This certification that the fabricator has the necessary personnel, equipment, and procedures in place to produce high-quality steel structures that meet industry standards.
ASNT
The American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) is an association that provides resources and certification programs for individuals in the nondestructive (NDT) industry. ASNT offers a variety of certifications, including Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual Testing (VT). These certifications are designed for individuals who perform and supervise NDT in their respective fields. ASNT's certifications are recognized worldwide and are highly respected in the NDT industry.
We maintain individuals certified under various ASNT disciplines on our staff, or the staff of our sister company Clover Field Services, LLC. This allows us to ensure proper inspection methods and techniques are used throughout the fabrication process. While some form of NDT is typically required by the applicable code, we also use it even when not required to help ensure quality standards are maintained. In addition, NDT can be used to troubleshoot issues in the fabrication process, without affecting the finished product or incurring significant expense.
